Fellini’s Cafe in Paoli PA

8 July 2007

This review is for the restaurant located at 19 E Lancaster Ave Paoli PA next to the Starbucks and the train station, but it should be noted there are a few of them around.

My wife and I have an 11 month old as of this writing and as such don’t get out as much as we used to. We love every minute we spend with our son and hate to part with him, but we have a wedding to go to in Vermont soon and he’s never spent a night away so it was time to try. Her parents were gracious enough to watch him for the evening.

With a free night on our hands we figured a nice meal out would be just the ticket. We had been to various other Fellini’s and enjoyed it so figured it was a safe bet. Boy were we right!

We called ahead to make a reservation and arrived a few minutes before we planned. Parking was a snap at the train station right next door. We went in thinking we might have to wait but we were seated immediately.

Seating is a little tight in a few spots, but not uncomfortable. The restaurant has a nice “Italian” feel to it and sports an open kitchen. We were served water and a complimentary appetizer of bruschetta and eggplant. While were on the water topic it should be noted that my glass was never dry. Excellent side service.

Our waitress was very friendly but seemed a little young. She did a fantastic job though, no complaints. The menu is quite extensive and is pasta heavy. I had a tortelline in cream sauce dish and my wife had a chicken parmesian type dish. We both were very pleased with our meals.

Fellini’s is BYOB but offers a complimentary glass of house wine, which was a nice touch. All in all an excellent evening and I would reccommend it to anyone.

Hello…my husband left the first review and I would just like to add a few comments. I agree with everything he said, but I think it should also be noted that the appeal to this restaurant is in its cafe feel, good service, large portions, and reasonable prices. You can eat here on a date, but also with a family. There is nothing much creative or gourmet about this restaurant, but if you are looking for a decent Italian meal, especially on a family budget, this is the place to go! Also, many of the options on the menu are high in fat and loaded with cheese.
